"Ask the Organizer" Panel
New in 2008! Pre-Expo Special Session
Discover organizing secrets at the "Ask the Organizer" Panel, a new public, educational component of the Los Angeles Organizing Expo. The Panel will feature accomplished professional organizers from NAPO-LA’s Golden Circle, experts in their fields of personal productivity, training, and media. Scheduled to participate in the 90-minute panel discussion are Lynne Gilberg, CPO®, CPO-CD® (Lynne Gilberg Organizing), Carol Keller (Organizing Experts™), Marcy Melton CPO® (Bullseye Organizing Solutions), and Tanya Whitford, CPO® (Organizing Wonders). The Panel will be facilitated by Claire Flannery (Simplify) and is open to the public.
The "Ask the Organizer" Panel will precede The Los Angeles Organizing Expo, 4 pm - 5:30 pm. Registration is available online or at the door.

Our 2008 "Ask the Organizer" Panel of Experts - Bios
Claire Flannery - Simplify, Culver City. Claire will call on her corporate management background, plus her five years as a professional organizer, to facilitate this year’s “Ask the Organizer” Panel. Claire's 31-year corporate career with The Boston Globe brought her to Los Angeles as West Coast Sales Manager, forming the foundation for her organizing specialty in small offices and paper management. Opting for early retirement, she discovered NAPO-Los Angeles and was enveloped into the fold. Twice she was project manager for Get Organized Month events. She served as Editor of The Los Angeles Organizer, and served as Secretary on the Board of Directors. Claire is currently studying for her professional organizing certification.
Lynne Gilberg, CPO®, CPO-CD®, Lynne Gilberg Organizing, Cheviot Hills. Lynne established her business in 2001. She has been Editor and Publisher of The Los Angeles Organizer, served on the first NAPO Education Committee and has been on previous NAPO “Ask the Organizer” panels. She is a member of the National Study Group on Chronic Disorganization, served as their publications editor, redeveloped their certification coursework and reading list. Lynne has been quoted in the Chicago Tribune and the Wall Street Journal. Specializing in chronically disorganized clients, Lynne helps them to set up systems that simplify their lives. She also coordinates relocations and other large jobs and is certified by both NAPO and NSGCD.
Carol Keller - Organizing Experts™, Los Angeles. Carol’s business experience runs the gamut from public school teacher, to retail business owner, to owning her own professional organizing business, Organizing Experts, LLC, which was launched in June of 2000. Carol has developed a proven process of organizing with her clients, whether it is with paper, time or space management. She uses her life skills to encourage lasting organizational changes with her clients. She is able to break down ideas and express them in a way that her clients can easily understand and put to use in their own lives. Carol is a Golden Circle member of the National Association of Professional Organizers and served on the NAPO Oregon Board for 6 years before moving to Los Angeles.
Marcy Melton, CPO® - Bullseye Organizing Solutions, Rancho Park. Prior to becoming an organizer, Marcy had a 20-year career in television advertising sales and sales management. In addition to developing her people skills, she developed a reputation among her colleagues for designing and implementing filing systems that enabled her to access anything in seconds. Marcy is enjoying her 13th year as a Professional Organizer and was among the inaugural group of Certified Professional Organizers. Marcy specializes in bookkeeping, filing systems, and paper management. The majority of her regular clients have been with her for over a decade.
Tanya Whitford, CPO® - Organizing Wonders, Hollywood. Tanya started her company, Organizing Wonders, in 1999 and specializes in residential organizing. She enjoys working with families and individuals to help them achieve their goals. Her clients are predominantly creative types, from actors to writers, but also include everyone from rocket scientists to hoarders. In addition to being an inaugural Certified Professional Organizer, she is also a member of the National Study Group on Chronic Disorganization, where she is a Chronic Disorganization Specialist and an ADD Specialist. Tanya is a Past President of the Los Angeles Chapter.
