MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION
Thank you for your interest in the Los Angeles Chapter of the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO-LA). This Chapter is proud to be the founding chapter of the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO) and the start for many more Chapters around the country.
We have provided answers to the most common questions asked by Prospective Members. If you have additional questions that are not answered here, please contact our Director of Membership.
About NAPO. The National Association of Professional Organizers is a nonprofit professional association whose members include Professional Organizers, speakers, trainers, authors, and manufacturers of organizing products. Founded in 1985, it is the only national association of and for Professional Organizers, with over 4,000 members throughout the world. For more information regarding NAPO National, click here.
Who Belongs to NAPO National? Individuals representing themselves or a company who are doing business in the field of organizing through provision of any of the following services: hands-on organizing, training, speaking, writing. A Regular Member is entitled to voting privileges and may hold office and serve on the Board of Directors.
NAPO National Membership Dues
*An Active Member (1) has completed the Provisional Membership year; or (2) is a new NAPO member with more than 1 year of professional organizing experience.
You may join NAPO National at www.napo.net. NAPO National membership is separate from NAPO-LA chapter membership. NAPO National membership is required in order to join NAPO-LA. NAPO National submits its renewal notices directly to members on their anniversary dates.
About NAPO-LA. The Los Angeles Chapter of NAPO was founded in 1985, and we are proud to still have some of the founding members in our chapter. Our chapter also contains a large number of Professional Organizers that are Golden Circle Members--members who have been in the business for over 5 years and who bring a rich sense of professionalism, experience and camaraderie to our chapter.
NAPO-LA's Mission. NAPO-LA is dedicated to bringing Southern California area Professional Organizers together through networking, education, professional growth, industry updates, support and public awareness.
Please be aware that the processing of new members can take up to two weeks. If you would like to ensure that you may attend our next chapter meeting as a member and not a guest, please complete the application process at least two weeks prior to the next meeting date.
All members are required to sign the NAPO Code of Ethics as part of their membership.
NAPO-LA Membership. Dues are prorated quarterly by 25%. Prices are updated on the Membership Application Form.
Associate Membership. A company that is engaged primarily in the manufacture, distribution, and/or sales of organizing equipment, supplies, or organizing industry related services. An Associate Member may not vote or hold office in the association. Benefits of Associate Membership. Dues are prorated quarterly by 25%. Prices are updated on the Associate Membership Application Form.
NAPO-LA Monthly Meetings. Our Chapter's monthly meetings are intended to provide educational information and provide networking time with other organizers. There is a $15 meeting fee for each meeting. Chapter Members only may display brochures, announcements and solicitations of employment.

Getting Involved In NAPO-LA. When you volunteer in one of the many available areas, you work alongside other Professional Organizers to continue to make NAPO-LA a great Chapter.
