Stuff is Broken: Let's Fix It

Join Sandra Goldmark, Barnard professor and author of Fixation: How to Have Stuff without Breaking the Planet, for a quarantine-tour of her home. She’ll discuss the impacts of some of our most common household items, and chart a clear path towards a more sustainable, equitable, and circular pattern of consumption.


Sandra Goldmark

Sandra Goldmark is a designer, teacher, and entrepreneur whose work focuses on circular economy solutions to overconsumption and climate change. She is an Associate Professor of Professional Practice in Theatre and Director of Sustainability and Climate Action at Barnard College, and the author of Fixation: How to Have Stuff without Breaking the Planet.

Nancy McFarland

 

Nancy McFarland, owner of SoCal Photo Solutions, has been in the business of managing and archiving clients’ photo collections for over 25 years. She is a founding member of APPO, now renamed “The Photo Managers”. Nancy helped create the association’s certification program & was their West Coast training specialist until 2014 when she started her own organizing business. SoCal Photo Solutions services include printed & digital photo organizing as well as multi-format scanning, and custom book design. 

She is Home Movie certified through Pro 8 Millimeter and is a NAPO Golden Circle member. 

Having been a member of NAPO-LA for 8 years, Nancy can talk to you about ways to take full advantage of your membership. If you want to learn more about organizing your clients’ collection of memories, Nancy would be an excellent mentor.
